As the CEO of the White Ensign Association, I had the great privilege to be invited along to an Insight Day held by the Lloyd’s Military Group last Thursday.
There was a great turnout at what was a very well organised and insightful event. Alongside one hundred servicemen and servicewomen in transition, I heard about the many and varied job opportunities which exist at Lloyd’s of London. We heard from officers, SNCOs and JNCOs who have all enjoyed happy landings at Lloyd’s, in jobs spanning from insurance broking to project management. And, as a retired naval officer, I was also delighted to see some of Admiral Lord Nelson’s artefacts on display – including his special one-handed joint knife and fork!
Many thanks to the Lloyd’s Military Group for such an informative and enjoyable afternoon and if you are serving or have served in the RN, RN or RFA and are interested in a career at Lloyd’s, then you can get more information at Lloyd’s Military Network (lloyds.com)
